Felbermayr and Slater continue strong form through the summer

Audi Development Programme drivers, Emma Felbermayr and Freddie Slater, continued their campaigns with a strong run of results over the summer, as F1 Academy visited Canada and Great Britain while Formula 3 embarked on its European leg. Podiums and consistent points finishes have kept both drivers firmly in the fight for their respective championships.

After a strong season opener in Shanghai, Felbermayr continued her 2026 campaign with another encouraging run of results across the Montreal and Silverstone F1 Academy rounds. With Montreal featuring an expanded format, the Austrian scored points in all three races, highlighted by a battle through the field to claim second place in the Reverse Grid Race.

Felbermayr carried that momentum into Silverstone, returning to the top step with a dominant Reverse Grid Race victory before climbing from eighth on the grid to third in Sunday's Feature Race. The points haul kept her second in the championship standings, 30 points behind Alisha Palmowski, with the fourth round of the season taking place in Zandvoort next August.

On the Formula 3 grid, Slater continued to impress throughout his rookie season in the championship, collecting a remarkable run of podium finishes across the European rounds. The young Briton claimed top-three finishes in the Feature Races at Monaco, Barcelona, Spielberg, Silverstone and Spa, taking his outstanding tally to six podiums in six rounds.

The points from the Feature Race in Spa saw Slater further closing the gap to direct title rival, Ugochukwu, arriving in Budapest for the last round before the summer break just one point behind the American. Slater managed to draw level with Ugochukwu at the top of the standings in the Sprint Race, before a confident drive to his maiden Formula 3 win on Sunday – his seventh podium in seven races – moved him into the championship lead.

The young Briton is now leading with an eight-point advantage heading into the final part of the season. With two rounds and five races to go, Formula 3 will resume in Monza, before the season finale in Madrid next September.
